Students will review Trig skills for the test tomorrow

  • We did a review

English 12:

Students will complete the draft of their Research Project

  • We worked on the Final Draft (due tomorrow)

Ind. Reading:

Students will read independently

  • We read
  • Then we did a Journal Entry:
    • Title and author
    • Do a Frontier Vocab Activity
    • (If you don’t remember, frontier words are terms we recognize but don’t know well enough to use in our own language. These are the easiest words to add to our vocabularies)
      • write out the sentence from the book
      • guess the definition
      • find the definition
      • use that word in a sentence of 8+ words.

Students will practice using Law of Cosine when Law of Sines is impossible.  Students will also practice Heron’s Law

English 12:

Students will revise their essays to more accurately reflect the rubric.

  • After a few pointers, we worked on the Final Draft of the essay (due Wednesday)
  • Make sure you look at the rubric
  • Don’t forget how to put a graphic in your paper:

  • We read
  • Then we had a journal entry: How close are you to finishing the requisite six genres?  Why do you think that is?

  • Then we did a journal entry: Talk about yourself as a reader

  • I talked about the best way to go about writing an essay based on the Outline
  • We then spent the rest of the time writing the essay

  • We also did a journal entry: Describe the current setting of your book.  Also include why you think that place looks the way it does.
