Students will use basic arithmetic knowledge to add and subtract polynomials

English 12:

Students will consolodate their findings to produce an outline for their upcoming Research Essay

  • I reminded everyone about the Action Step Update survey
  • I talked a bit about how to make an introduction and conclusion on the Outline (due today)
  • We went to the computer lab and printed them out

  • We went over the practice test from yesterday
  • Then we took the actual test

English 12:

Students will consolodate their findings to produce an outline for their upcoming Research Essay

  • Everyone filled out this survey on the progress of their Action Step
  • I talked more about making a good thesis and a good outline
  • Everyone made a copy of the Outline Template and got to work

Students will use Conjugates to reduce complex fractions.  Students will also connect knowledge of Absolute Value with Imaginary Numbers to predict behavior of the Absolute Value of Imaginary Numbers

English 12:

Students will use knowledge of MLA citation standards and research in order to find reliable sources of data for their Research Project

  • We worked on Notecards
  • Everyone handed in the Notescards
  • I’ll hand them back tomorrow and we’ll start on the outline

Algebra 2:

Students combined their knowledge of graphing quadratic equations with graphing absolute value inequalities in order to graph quadratic inequalities without a calculator.

  • I showed an example of how to graph quadratic inequalities without a calculator
  • Then everyone practiced on Pg.370 

English 12:

Students will identify the difference between reliable and unreliable sources as well as primary vs. secondary sources

  • We talked a bit about MLA format
  • Then we went to the computer lab to finish the Source Chart
  • Use RELIABLE SOURCES!
  • Don’t forget, you can always look up what’s do when on the Calendar!
